As there are no cars allowed on the island if you are driving then you will have to leave your car in Chiquil\u00e1, which is the town where the ferry leaves. Don\u2019t worry, there are parking lots for you to securely leave your car here.<\/p>\n

In case you arrive in Cancun after the last direct bus to Chiquila has left, or you just want to have a private and comfortable trip, we have available a taxi transfer that will take you directly to the port of Chiquila. If you want to hire it, we will ask you for full payment to make the reservation. The private taxi can be at the time you decide, we just need to book it in advance. There are several departures per day, starting around 7:30 a.m. and ending around 2 p.m. With the ADO company, it<\/b> costs approximately $180 pesos in second class or $280 in first class.<\/b> However, it is recommended to check the bus schedules and prices as they change quite frequently. The same company leaves the airport every 30 minutes directly to the bus station in downtown Cancun for a cost of approximately $100.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Northeast bus from M\u00e9rida to Chiquila takes about 4-5 hours.
There is only one departure a day at<\/b> 10:15am (from the Noreste bus station), but this is likely to change.
There is also a Mayab night bus that leaves at 11:30 pm<\/b> every day from M\u00e9rida to Chiquila (departing from the TAME Bus Terminal).<\/p>\n
